Nepalese journalists visit NPC

ISLAMABAD: A six-member delegation of Nepalese’s journalists on Thursday visited National Press Club (NPC) and lauded the valorous and courageous spirit demonstrated by Pakistani media in performing their professional duties.

The delegation exchanged views with their Pakistani counterparts about the problems and challenges being faced by media communities in both countries.

The Nepalese delegation headed by president Nepal Journalist Association Manju Ratna Sakya was given warm welcome at its arrival by the NPC president Tariq Chaudhry along with other office-bearers of the club, including Afzal But and Bilal Dar.

The visiting delegation remained with the Pakistani journalists for some time and discussed various issues relating to media. Both sides were unanimous in their views that journalists and media in both countries were facing serious problems in the execution of their professional duties.

“We are firm to stick to our stand of keeping people informed about the truth and highlighting the issues of public interests,” remarked Mr Chaudhry on the occasion.
