Negative role of media
Sir: The terror attack at Peshawar resulted in unity between two major political entities: Imran Khan and Mian Nawaz Sharif. Imran Khan had taken an extreme position against the government, and it had been a difficult decision to call off his protest abruptly for the sake of national harmony and to fight terrorism.
I must say that Nawaz Sharif has reciprocated this move by Imran Khan with due warmth and respect. However, the anchors hosting talk shows on various news channels have been found asking sticky questions to the politicians belonging to PML-N to extract something against Imran Khan and to prove that his protest was nothing but a failure. This negativity from a section of the media is going to damage the recently achieved atmosphere of political harmony, hence must be stopped.
