Nazim’s car kills girl
NAROWAL: A minor girl was run over and killed by the official vehicle of the district nazim on Tuesday near Talwandi Bhindran on Narowal-Muridke Road.
Reports said Narowal district nazim Dr. Naimat Ali Javaid was on his way to Lahore to attend a meeting by his official car when it hit Faiza, 6, near Talwandi Bhindran, some 18km from Narowal. The nazim and his driver tried to shift the girl to Sughra Shafi Hospital but she died on the way.
After the incident, people of the area blocked Narowal-Muridke Road for some time. They dispersed peacefully on the interference of the local administration.
