National conference on IT & Telecom on 24th
KARACHI, May 18 2006: National Conference on IT & Telecom is being organised on May 24, 2006 at Hotel Avari Towers Karachi in connection with World Telecom Day. It is organised by Publicity Channel (PC) in collaboration with Better Pakistan Forum, ISPAK, PASHA, Oracle Corporation Pakistan and other related stakeholders, while many other companies of IT & telecom sector are supporting the event. Theme of the conference is “Problems & prospects of IT & telecom industry in Pakistan”. IT is aimed to highlight the growth, development and problems of IT & telecom industry in country.
The BANDWIDTH (the official publication of Ministry of IT & Telecom & PTCL) is the official media partner in the conference.
Minister of State for IT & Telecom Ishaque Khakwani will be chief guest, while Secretary IT Sindh Yahya Waliullah will be guest of honour on this occasion. Other speakers will include prominent personalities from IT & telecom industry. The conference will cover many topics, which include telecommunication in furthering economic development , the role of telecommunication networks in promoting education , healthcare and culture , the contribution of ministry of IT & telecommunication , facilities and Voice-data integration system , IT & telecom policy and major issues, cellular/ wireless communication, the cyberspace revolution, universal access number(UAN) , call centres, software house and etc and latest development in hardware & software sectors.
It is expected that over 150 corporation participants from various corporate sectors especially from IT & telecom industry, corporate, banking, pharmaceuticals, sectors including decision makers , chairmen, CEO’s , IT experts, IT & telecom related high government officials & IT student.
