Nasreen for women resource centres
KARACHI, May 14 2006: City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has underlined the need to establish resources centres for women at each union council so that they could approach for the solution of their problems without any hesitation. She said women folk should be appraised of her due rights and status so that they could play their due role in the society.
Nasreen said this while talking to UNDP women political school Sindh project manager Ghazala Qazi, BIEK inspector of colleges Prof Sajida Salim and Rana Khan Advocate who called on her at her office here on May 13. Nasreen said majority of the women are not aware of their rights and this was only possible when they are fully aware of their rights and be given full representation.
She said present local body system has one third representation of women, so they have to raise voice for their rights at every level and stressed that when any issue of women is presented before the women union councilor she should try to resolve the issue at all cost.
