Nadra launches secure card for Afghan refugees
ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is launching a Secure Card for Afghan refugees to facilitate the registration of 1.75 million Afghan nationals living in Pakistan.
Under the project, the authority will arrange deployment of 63 online SCAC centres, production and issuance of 1.75 million Teslin-based cards, printing and issuance of 1.0 million birth certificates, registration and issuance of PoR Card to 200,000 UMRF from nine designated centres and system development and updating Afghan Citizens Database, said Deputy Chairman of the Nadra Tariq Malik here on Thursday. Addressing to the launching ceremony of the SCAC, he said the Nadra has registered 2.15 million Afghan citizens and issued 1.7 million PVC-based cards to the Afghan citizens.
