Nadra, ECP agree to prepare new voters list
ISLAMABAD: A consensus has been reached between National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the preparation of voters list with pictures.
The fundamental affairs in the preparation of new voters list has been settled during the meeting between Deputy Chairman Nadra Tariq Malik and Secretary ECP Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan on Monday. Both the institutions have declared the present voters list unusable. The sources said that 40 percent votes were wrongly registered in the present voters list and in this way suspicion over casting of 30 million bogus votes during the 2008 election was expressed.
