Missing TV compere found dead after 4 years

RAWALPINDI-(Online) Drop scene of the case of the missing compere of PTV and employee of an advertising company, Noor­ul-Ain took place on Saturday after her body was discovered buried in the bathroom of her husband’s friend.

The father of the deceased woman, Syed Qamar Abbas, a GM of ICI Peshawar had filed a written complaint to the then CJ, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry about his missing daughter, who had taken a suo moto action and ordered IG Punjab to locate her. The IG Punjab had directed DPO Attock to investigate the matter, who formed a team, which included DSP Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob and Inspector Muhammad Riaz, to probe the matter.

After intensive investigations the team rounded up the husband of deceased, Amir Waseem, and his friend Mubammad Zubair, who is a teacher in a local school, and was already serving term in another case of kidnapping a girl, Zubair, who was remanded on special basis, finally confessed to murder the helpless compere in connivance of her husband, and burying her after stuffing her body in polythene bags. Noor-Ul-Ain was a talented compere and advertising genius who had the honour to prepare the 10,000-questionere for SAF games, and was married to her husband in 2002.
