Ministry to remove hurdles in performance of journalists’ professional duties: Firdous
Minister for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that her ministry will facilitate the journalists in performance of their professional duties and she will personally ensure that hurdles in their professional duties are removed.
This she said while addressing a dinner she hosted in honour of the office-bearers of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) at a local hotel. She said that the government and the media have one objective that is resolution of the problems of the masses,protection of their basic rights,cooperation between media and the government was very necessary. She congratulated Pervez Shaukat on his election as PFUJ president for third term. The minister said that the president has ordered the constitution of 8th wage board award following the meeting of PFUJ delegation.
