Ministry asked to consider new radio, TV stations in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 16 2006: The Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan at a meeting here on May 15 asked the Information Ministry to consider opening new radio and TV stations in Balochistan for projection of the government policies. According to a press release, Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister Salim Saifullah chaired the meeting, which was attended by federal secretaries, to review the implementation status of the recommendations made by the Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan.

The committee examined infrastructure projects pertaining to Balochistan and directed the authorities concerned to expedite the implementation and asked the Ports and Shipping Ministry to make the office of Gwadar Port Authority in Gwadar fully functional. The committee was informed about job opportunities being provided to the youth in Balochistan through new projects and the constabularies.
