Minister assures maximum protection to journalists
Caretaker Information Minister Sindh, Ms Noor-ul- Huda Shah on Sunday said that the government will provide maximum possible protection to the journalists performing their duties. The journalists have been fighting terrorism with courage and patriotism by standing shoulder to shoulder with the government, she said.
The minister stated this while enquiring about welfare of Metro 1 TV channel reporter Zulfiqar Pirzada at Aga Khan Hospital. He was injured in Saturday evening bomb blast near MQM’s head office, in Azizabad area of the city.
She said the government holds in high esteem and will extend all possible help and support to the journalists performing their professional duties at high risk to their life.
She prayed for earliest recovery of Zulfiqar Pirzada and assured the family of her co-operation and help.
