Microsoft offers 35 per cent discount to customers
ISLAMABAD- Microsoft has launched a Windows Operating System legalization campaign in Pakistan by offering over 35 per cent discount to the customers. Microsoft authorized outlets in Pakistan will give discounts on Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows NT Workstation 4.O.
“This initiative will help the users in legalizing their operating systems software on the already purchased machines, according to Kamran Iqbal, Business Development Manager in Pakistan. The programme covers already-sold computers, while the company normally sells the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products only with new computers explaining. The announcement came following increased anti-piracy raids being conducted, at the request of Business Software Alliance (BSA), to curb unlicensed computer programme usage from Pakistan, he added.
