Microsoft, FAST-NU sign MoU

KARACHI: The Microsoft Pakistan and National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU) signed the MoU to collaborate and build an on-campus Microsoft Innovation Centre (MIC), designed to foster strong, self-sustaining local software economy. According to a press release issued on Friday, Microsoft and FAST-NU will operate the centre with the cooperation of the local government, academic institutions, industry organisations and software vendors, with the aim of fuelling long-term economic growth in the IT industry. It stated that the centre would provide world-class facilities and resources for students, professional developers, architects, IT professionals and researchers.
