Memon asks media to follow rules
ISLAMABAD – The Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Nisar Memon has urged the media to follow the rule of self-accountability by realising its responsibilities.
Talking to a three-member delegation of International Federation of Journalists (IF]) here on Saturday, the Caretaker Minister emphasized the need for serious efforts to eliminate differences between the government and media.
The delegation of IFJ was headed by its Secretary General Aiden Wite, while the office bearers of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist were also present on the occasion.
The Minister while supporting the step taken by the International Federation of Journalists for creating awareness regarding moral values of journalism has assured to provide all possible cooperation in this regard.
He also supported the stance of IFJ regarding formation of Code of Conduct for journalists and said that it was necessary to make sure the standard of journalism.
