Media’s role in evolving consensus on issues lauded
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate’s Standing Committee on Interior Senator Talha Mahmood said on Sunday that media is playing a vital role in highlighting and evolving consensus on important national issues.
He was speaking at the ceremony of announcing election results of All Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (Apnec), here on Sunday.
Media can play an important role in steering the country out of the crisis, he said. “Media is creating awareness and injecting new spirit in the nation”, he remarked. Mahmood hoped Apnec would continue working for the welfare of newspapers and TV employees.
