Mediaman manhandled
NAWABSHAH: Excise Inspector Mohammad Hassan Zardari, Manthar Zardari and three unidentified persons attacked and injured PPI Nawabshah Reporter Ismail Domki.
A car carrying Excise Inspector Mohammad Hassan Zardari, Manthar Zardari and some unidentified men hit and injured a boy in the city. As PPI Reporter protested against the men riding in the car, they beat up him ruthlessly, leaving him injured.
The reporter reached A-Section Police Station to lodge an FIR of the case but the policemen on duty refused to register it. They told the report that they would not register the case against Zardaris.
Later, a meeting presided over by senior journalists at Nawabshah Press Club strongly condemned the attack on PPI Reporter and warned the police to lodge the case with immediate effect, otherwise a massive protest demonstration would be held outside Zardari House on Wednesday the responsibility of which would lie on the local administration.
