Media workshop
LAHORE: Bahauddin Zikaria University Lahore Campus Friday organised a media workshop titled “How to Excel in Reporting.”
BNU Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr Mehdi Hassan and columnist Javed Chaudhary were the resource persons. Addressing the participants, they said that the media got prominent status among all professions. They said reporting and conveying the truth to aware the upcoming generation with the true facts and figures was the need of the hour.
On this occasion, Dr Mehdi Hassan said that unfortunately some media persons were violating the media ethics. He also quoted many example of misreporting especially covering Kashmir earthquake and Lal Masjid saga. He always taught his students to be responsible during their journalistic career.
Javed Chaudhary said that hardworking was the only key to success. He said if the reporters wanted to excel in the field, they should go for investigative stories. He said a single good story could give fame to a reporter.
Later on, BZU Lahore Campus director Munir Ahmed Bhatti thanked the participants and resources persons of the workshop. The participants were also given certificate on the occasion.
