Media women elected
KARACHI- The members of the Media Women Publishers and Journalists Organisation has elected Shehla A Abbasi and Huma Amir Malik as president and honorary general secretary.
The election of the office-bearers was held in a general body meeting. According to an announcement, Shaista Saeed and Khushbukht Shujaat were elected as senior vice president and vice president, Shama Ali Rizvi as joint secretary, Raana Tauqeer as treasurer and Syeda Naqvi as secretary membership. Fouzia Zuberi was elected as secretary public affairs, Afifa Sufia Al Hussani as secretary co-ordination, Sajida Quddosi as secretary co-ordinator, Ghazala Fasih special project, Shabana Shafiq youth and women issues, Nafisa Hoodbhoy human rights, Muzna Abbasi international affairs and Moomual Siddiqui health and child affairs. The organisation also elected 12-member executive committee for the year 2000.
