PUJ President S Amjad and Secretary General Rab Nawaz Bajwa, other members of the delegation were Senior Vice President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) Syed Anwar Qidwai, Central Finance Secretary Taseer Mustafa, senior journalists Waseem Fatima, Safdar Rasheed and Hamid Riaz Dogar.

“Our own TV channels have overlapped foreign TV channels,” he observed. The delegation expressed its concern over non-implementation of the 6th Wage Board Award announced four years ago and urged the governor to help implement the award to ensure improvement in the living standard of journalists.

The PUJ president lauded the Punjab government’s initiative of establishing residential colonies for journalists in Rawalpindi and Lahore. The delegation discussed with the governor the prevailing political situation in the country.
