‘Media can play vital role for health awareness of community’
HYDERABAD: Professor Mashoor Alam Shah, the Vice Chancellor Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro has expressed that the electronic and print media can play a vital role for the health awareness of the community, which can help in prevention of so many diseases.
While addressing at the inaugural session of “Renovation/ Upgradation of Medical Unit IV with Establishment of Skill Lab and Tutorial room”at Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro he mentioned that we have to do a lot of work for the community on the preventive side of the health, so many diseases can be prevented by educating the community. We have to take practical steps to reach the masses to inform them regarding the prevention of spread of deadly diseases like Hepatitis B & C. The LUMHS is preparing a master plan involving the media/NGOs/social workers/general practitioners and the school teachers for the health awareness of the community.
