Measles kills four in Jamshoro dist
JAMSHORO, March 24 2006: Four children died of measles while more than 200 children are suffering from it in the Jamshoro district.
According to reports the disease claimed at least four lives in Sann and Manjhand. The deceased children are Bubli, 4, Noor Bani, 3, Shehnaz, 2, and Sarwar, 4. According to figures collected by NGO Sindh Integrated Network for Development Programme (SINDP) 200 children belonging to Sann and Manjhand are also suffering from measles.Parents said the disease is spreading fast day by day in the other areas of the district due to lack of proper treatment and medicines in the health department Jamshoro. When contacted, the authorities of the health department of Jamshoro said they were unaware about the spread of the disease.
