Man kills wife
KARACHI, July 15 2006: A woman was murdered by her husband and three persons lost their lives in separate incidents in different parts of the city on Friday. Kaneez Fatima, 35, a housewife, was murdered by her husband on suspicion of having illicit relations in Khuldabad locality of Quaidabad within Shah Lateef Town police jurisdiction. On Friday, when a neighbouring woman visited the house of Kaneez, she found her lying on the floor in a pool of blood. She informed some male members of her family about the murder, who informed the police, which reached the scene and shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
The medico legal experts told the police that the murder was committed with some sharp-edged weapon. Area police told The News that when the police reached the scene of murder they also saw the infant daughter of the deceased weeping near the dead body who was later handed over to the neighbouring family. The police arrested Muhammad Khan, the husband of the deceased, on suspicion who confessed killing of his wife during the investigation. The body, after legal formalities, was placed in the Edhi morgue, as the deceased hailed from Pak-Patan, who had no close relative in Karachi.
