Man kills two daughters

QUETTA: A person strangulated his two innocent daughters to death apparently over a dispute with his divorced wife here in Sariab area Thursday morning. The police later arrested the killer identified as an employee of Agriculture Department, Shah Mir.

The police informed that the heart rendering incident took place in the Agriculture Colony located in Rani Bagh, Sariab Road. The police sources informed that one Shah Mir got married with Mst Feroza on watta satta (exchange) basis some eight years back. His brother-in-law (husband of his sister) divorced his (Shah Mir’s) sister some time back. In order to take revenge of his sister’s separation, he also divorced his wife. She went to her parent’s house, but started insisted upon getting her children back. Shah Mir was reported to be reluctant to do so. On Thursday morning, Shah Mir strangulated his daughters – 4-yer-old Sumera and 7-yer-old Laila. The police got to know about the incident at 11 am.

In the meantime, the dead bodies of the innocent girls were moved to the civil hospital for post mortem. Meanwhile, the aggrieved mother of Sumera and Laila told the visiting media persons about the gory incident saying that her former husband did it in revenge. She demanded of the government to severely punish the killer. She also demanded the possession of her son from her former husband.
