Man kills cousin for ‘honour’
OKARA: A man killed his cousin, a widow, allegedly over honour in Khan Colony on Friday.
Saba, daughter of Liaquat, married Waris, of Farooqabad, five months ago. Waris died recently after which Saba returned to her parents’ home. On Friday, Nadeem, the son of her aunt Mussarat Bibi, shot her dead. He suspected that she had relations with a man of the area.
In another incident, rivals gunned down a man allegedly over litigation. Zakir, of Bolaywala, had obtained a stay order from a court against Moeenuddin Chishti over a village passage after which the latter started nursing a grudge against the former. Moeenuddin, his sons Azhar, Mazhar and Tahir along with three accomplices shot Zakir dead on Friday.
An unidentified man was returning from the shrine of Bala Pir when a car ran him over near Satghara, killing him on the spot.
