Malik asks govt to release dues of media houses
ISLAMABAD: The PPP Senator Rahman Malik on Friday stated in the Senate that the government was not paying Advertisement dues of the media houses due to which they were also not paying salaries to their employees.
On a point of objection in the Senate session he said that reporters and cameramen of certain media groups were not being paid salaries for more than six months. He called upon the government to pay attention towards the issue and direct the concerned to early release payments of the print and electronic media. Later the Senate chairman adjourned the session till 3:00 pm on January 13.
