Majid Nizami felicitated
KARACHI – A large number of newspaper editors in the country have sent messages of felicitations to Majid Nizami, the Editor in Chief of the Nawa-i-Waqt, on having received the award as the best newspaper of Pakistan in the year 2004 from the Pakistan Advertising Association.
It may be mentioned here that the award committee of the Pakistan Advertising Association announced here yesterday its selection of daily Nawa-i-Waqt as the best newspaper for the year 2004.
The award giving ceremony will be hopefully hosted soon by the Pakistan Advertising Association.
The Nawa-i-Waqt daily has Majid Nizami, younger brother of the late Hamid Nizami, who founded the newspaper in 1942 from Lahore with his younger brother.
Hamid Nizami died in 1962 and the newspaper Nawa-i-Waqt has been run and expanded by Majid Nizami ever since.
Meanwhile a large number of friends and admirers of Mir Shakilur Rehman have also conveyed their felicitations to him on the nomination of Geo TV as the best channel among the TV channels for the Electronic Media Best Channel award by the Pakistan Advertising Association for 2004.
