Majid Nizami conferred highest civilian award
ISLAMABAD: In recognition of his national services in the field of journalism in Pakistan President Rafiq Ahmed Tarar Tuesday conferred the highest civilian award on Editor-in-chief of Nawa-e-Waqt Majid Nizami in a ceremony at the Presidency.
The ceremony was held in connection with the Pakistan Day, March 23, where the President conferred awards on Pakistanis who had rendered exceptional services to the country in various disciplines. Among others the list of awardees also included Pakistan’s nuclear-pride Dr A. Q Khan.
Majid Nizami won special applause when his name was called for the award. Later, at the conclusion of the ceremony Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and president Tarar offered Congratulations to Majid Nizami Separately.
