The prominent voters included Justice (r) Karamat Nazir Bhindari, Justice (r) Fakhar-un-Nisa Khokhar, Justice (r) Nasira Javed lqbal, Justice (r) Malik Saeed Hassan, Justice (r) Aamir Raza A Khan, Justice (r) Ameer Alam Khan, former federal ministers, Aitzaz Ahsan, SM Masood, Senator Latif Khosa, and others.

Lawyers demanded restoration of all the deposed judges including Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. They also wanted the immediate release of Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan, Ali Ahmad Kurd and Tariq Mehmood.
