Lahore High Court increases pension benefits of district judiciary
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has enhanced pension benefits of district judiciary of Punjab and the establishment of the high court by adding judicial allowances permissible to them in their pay for computing commutation and pension.
All judicial officers and members of the Establishments of the LHC who retired after January 22, 2008 would also be entitled to get re-fixed their pensions by adding their last drawn judicial allowances into their pay for calculation of pension w.e.f. July 28, 2012, says a press release here issued on Thursday.
The Sindh High Court had already permitted such facility to judges and employees of the Establishment since 2006. It is expected that better retirement terms for judicial officers would promote integrity and efficiency and better talent would be attracted to serve the judiciary, the PR added.
