KPC office-bearers call on Sindh chief minister

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Thursday held a meeting at CM House here to review the progress of development works of Housing Society for members of the Karachi Press Club (KPC).

The meeting was also attended by Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani, Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri, Special Assistant to CM for Media and Press Waqar Mehdi, Sindh Secretary Information, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, Secretary Local Government Ali Ahmed, President KPC Tahir Hasan Khan, General Secretary KPC, Moosa Kaleem, and Press Secretary to CM Allah Bachayo Memon.

Sindh Chief Minister said that the elected government appreciates press freedom and would provide all facilities to journalists.

He assured that genuine problems faced by the journalist would be solved.

It was informed that development of KPC Housing Society in Hawkesbay area is going on and a ceremony for distribution of challans for ownership of plots by Lyari Development Authority will be held by the Sindh Chief Minister.

The President of KPC Tahir Hasan Khan informed that the Governing Body of KPC has decided to give life membership to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

Besides, life membership will also be awarded to Agha Siraj Durrani, Ms Shazia Atta Marri and Waqar Mehdi, he added.
