Kirmani condam ads ban

LAHORE – Nazria-i-Pakistan Forum chairman Dr Asif Saeed Kirmani has criticised the ban on government advertisements to the Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation.

In a statement issued on July , Dr Asif Saeed Kirmani said that ever since its inception the Nawa-i-Waqt had been preaching the ideology of Pakistan by conveying the message of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal. He said both Majid Nizami and Arif Nizami are following the footsteps of late Hameed Nizami and facing govt pressure and tactics with great courage. He stated though they had to pay
havy price for that, they upheld the true sprit of democracy and journalism and Pakistani masses valued their sacrifices.

Dr Asif Saeed Kirmani demanded of the government that it should immediately lift ban on the Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation’s ads. He stressed that the govt should not make it an issue of ego because the people were unhappy with the whole situation.
