Kinnaird`s triple click in inter results

LAHORE: The Kinnaird College for Women clinched all three overall top positions in the Intermediate (part-I and II) annual examination for 2011, including a shared position besides two positions each in pre-engineering and general science groups. The Government Islamia College, Civil Lines, shared the overall third position in the Lahore board. The Government College University bagged 10 positions.

Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Chairman Prof Dr Akram Kashmiri declared the names of position holders in pre-engineering, pre-medical, general science, commerce and humanities groups separately among boys and girls.

Kinnaird College’s Hira Iftikhar has bagged the overall first position in the Lahore board intermediate annual examination by obtaining 1,039 marks out of total 1,100. KC’s Javeria Tehzeeb scored the second position with 1,036 marks. KC’s Anam Manzoor and Rubar Haider Jafri and Government Islamia College, Civil Lines, Ali Ayub shared the third position with 1,028 marks. All the four girls also bagged top three positions, including the shared third position in the pre-medical group among girls, while Islamia College’s Ali Ayub bagged first position in pre-engineering group among boys.

In the pre-engineering group among boys, GCU’s Muhammad Omer Ajmal and Ammaduddin Joya got second and third positions with 1,027 and 1,026 marks.

In the pre-medical group among boys, GCU’s Muhammad Arslan Arshad, Ahmad Bani Sadar and Muhammad Hamza secured the top positions with 1,021, 1,018 and 1,013 marks, respectively.

In the pre-engineering group among girls, Anam Sadiq of the Punjab College for Women, 27-C Noon Avenue, Muslim Town, earned the first position with 1,025 marks, while KC’s Ayesha Zulfiqar and Maryam Khalid secured second and third positions with 1,016 and 1,015 marks.

In the general science group among boys, GCU’s Ashas Ahmad, Hafiz Muhammad Salman Saeed and Daniyal Haleem bagged all the three positions with 992, 976 and 970 marks.In the general science group among girls, Queens Mary College’s Abeera Shahbaz and Lahore College for Women’s University’s Ramshah Jahangir shared first position with 985 marks. KC’s Mustabeen Iqbal and Nida Khalid secured second and third positions with 980 and 969 marks, respectively.

In commerce group among boys, Muhammad Ashfaq of the Punjab College, GT Road, near Abdullah Hospital, Okara, obtained first position with 975 marks. Bilawal Muneer of the Government MAO College secured the second position with 960 marks and Mubashar Humayon of the Punjab College of Commerce, 314-Rawaz Garden, Chauburji, got third position with 956 marks.
In the commerce group among girls, Fareeha Waseem, Asma Abdul Razzaq and Rabia Fayyaz of the Punjab College for Women, 27-C Noon Avenue, Muslim Town, secured top three positions with 994, 987 and 968 marks.

In humanities and other groups among boys, Hafiz Muhammad Yasin, a private candidate, clinched the first position with 931 marks. GCU’s Shakoh Zulqernain and Jawwad Raza Sultan earned second and third positions with 919 and 913 marks, respectively.

In humanities and other groups among girls, Sara Zahid of the Ghazali College for Women, 13-I-B-II, Tariq Bin Ziad Street, College Road, Township, secured the first position with 940 marks. Sadia Arshad, a private candidate, bagged the second position with 933 marks, while Neelam Shan of the Government Degree College for Women, Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur, obtained third position with 917 marks.

BISE controller of examinations Syed Ijaz Husain Naqvi and Secretary Mushtaq Tahir were also present.

The Lahore board will declare the detailed Intermediate (Part-I and II) annual examination for 2011 results at medal, certificate and prize distribution ceremony top position holders at Alhamra Hall-II at 10am on Saturday (today).
