Journalists stage demo against Nooriabad land mafia
Hyderabad, August 21: Journalists under the banner of District Union of Journalists Jamshoro held protest demonstration against influential land mafia for alleged attack on Abbas Palari president press club Nooriabad.
They later observed token hunger strike.
The journalists of district Jamshoro Abdul Aziz Palari, Dildar Janwri, Latif Shoro, Ismail Baloch, Deewan Gangumal, Juman Palari, Dr. Altaf Arain, Naeem Zai, Gul Sewhani, Aijaz Leghri, Majeed Joyo, Pervez Memon, Alam Parali, Nadeem Khan and others joined the protest.
They said after publication of news against land grabbers, they attacked press club Nooriabad president Abbas Palari and injured him. They said they have filed report at Nooriabad police station but no accused has so far been arrested.
The accused were roaming freely and threatening journalists of implicating them into false cases. They made appeal to higher authorities to take action against the attackers and also to hold inquiry into their assets.
