Journalists protest rally

BADIN – Journalists of Talhar and activists of PPP took out a procession in protest against the kidnapping of President Talhar Press Club Haji Khan Lashari and Vice president Ammar Singh here on Saturday.

The procession converted into a rally, in front of the press club Talhar which was led by former MNA Badin Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza, Dr Musarat Khuwaja, Nadir Khuwaja and Aziz Memon.

The protesters carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans demanding immediate recovery of the kidnapped, journalists.

Dr Mirza criticized the government for its utter failure to re­cover the journalist. He said that the journalists could not be de­terred from performing their duties freely.

They expressed anger over delay in the recovery of journalists. He asked the government to utilize all its resources to recover the kidnapped journalist.

The protesters strongly condemned the kidnapping demanded that provincial and federal governments should make efforts to ensure site release of their colleagues.

The protesters said that the journalists of the country were serving the nation with the help of their pen within limited resources and the government was responsible for their security.

The journalists also announced shutter down strike in Talhar on today (Sunday).
