Journalists awarded certificates
PESHAWAR: The certificates distribution ceremony of the first batch of three-month development journalism course was held at the University of Peshawar (UoP) on Tuesday.
Fifteen students from private organisations and reporters from Fata had been selected through proper examination and interviews for the course. A German organisation funded the course held in collaboration with the Journalism and Mass Communication Department of UoP.
UoP Vice-Chancellor Dr Rasool Jan was the chief guest at the certificates and prize distribution ceremony.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rasool Jan said it was an innovative experience that they started development journalism course at the UoP in collaboration with the German NGO GIZ. He said it was a fruitful course completed by the working journalists and the NGOs employees.
