Journalist Yousuf Khan passes away
KARACHI: Senior journalist Yousuf Khan passed away here on Wednesday. He was 54.
His family said he suffered a heart attack late in the evening. He was admitted to a private hospital in Defence but could not survive. He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Mr Khan worked for more than three decades for various dailies. Until Wednesday, he was working as a senior reporter for Nawa-i-Waqt newspaper to which he also contributed a weekly column.
He was actively involved in the movements for journalists’ rights and also served as secretary of Karachi Press Club in 1996-97.
