Journalist shot dead in Gojra
TOBA TEK SINGH: A journalist was shot dead by unknown people in Gojra on Wednesday night.
Dr Muhammad Akram, a correspondent with a Faisalabad-based daily and a homoeopath, went to his clinic on Gojra-Toba Road but did not return home till late night.
His son Shakil went launched a search and found the body of his father who had been shot in the head. However, his money and mobile phone were in his pocket.
The city police took the body in their custody and shifted it to the THQ Hospital for autopsy. Owing to unavailability of equipment in the hospital, the autopsy was delayed for several hours.
Meanwhile, journalists condemned the murder of their colleague in meetings at Toba Tek Singh, Gojra, Kamalia and Pirmahal.
