Journalist Murdered
Lahore- Rana Ejaz, a reporter of local newspaper was shot dead by four unidentified highway men near Pind Dadan Khan 17, 2003.
Deceased reporter had gone to visit his native town from Pind Dadan Khan, he went to see his aunt at Jehlum. When Rana Ejaz was back to home, four dacoits intercepted the car and tried to snatch gold ornaments from his wife and sister-in-law. On resistance by Rana Ejaz dacoits shot him dead while his driver Nawaz received serious bullet injuries. However during the whole episode deceased’s daughter Amina and son Hassan remained unhurt.
It is to further inform you that the real name of slain reporter is Raja Ejaz Ahmed Khan. He was belonging to daily Khabrain.
