Jinnah Anthology

KARACHI, April 19: The second edition of the Jinnah Anthology will be launched on Monday, while the Jinnah Awards will also be conferred at the ceremony.

The programme has been organised jointly by the Jinnah Society, which has instituted the award, and Oxford University Press, publishers of the book.

The book, compiled and edited by Liaquat Merchant and Prof Sharif al-Mujahid, comprises speeches, quotes and personal recollections of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, as well as essays and articles on his life, works and achievements.

The society, which spreads the principles, ideas and vision of the Quaid, has conferred the Jinnah Award for 2006 upon retired Air Marshal M. Asghar Khan, founder of the Tehrik-i-Istiqlal, and for 2007 upon Ahmad Ali Khan, former editor-in-chief of Dawn.

Liaquat Merchant, Sharif al-Mujahid, Ameena Saiyid and Najam Sethi will speak at the launching ceremony.
