IT varsity to be set up under KASBIT

KARACHI- The Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Institute of Technology (KASBIT) is all set to setup the country’s first high impact Technology Park here at a Cost of $50 million.

The IFC and Asian Development Bank have showed their interest to be equity partners in this project, work on which will be started next year and will be completed in five to ten years.

The KASBIT, which was granted charter in April this year, has started Bachelor in Business Administration courses with electives in Management of Information Sciences (MIS) and e-commerce.

As part of its overall plan for the establishment of a high impact university, the KASBIT is already conducting courses in Bachelor and Masters in Computer Science and Business, Information Technology and three-year degree programme and Masters in Business Administration.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), KASBIT, Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, said that KASBIT will establish the country’s largest Technology Park in Karachi for which 48 acres of land has been acquired on Super Highway.
