‘IT promotion need of hour’
The promotion and dissemination of science and technology is need of the hour. Our new generation must get scientific and technological education in order to contribute to the national progress and prosperity. The ideas were expressed by Prof Riazud Din, a prominent scientist, on the “Fun Science Day” at the Ideological Summer School organized by the Nazaria-i- Pakistan Trust at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami also attended the function. The children presentation Dr Majid Nizami a presentation on the models of 50 different science objects under the guidance of their teacher, Arif Umar. The children made models of a solar lamp, a tea-bag rocket, a steam engine, a periscope, a lava lamp, a circuit quiz game, an air mill, a water balloon, Kalabagh Dam, Madar-i-Millat Park, etc. Those present on the occasion included Prof Rafique Ahmad, MPA Rana Arshad, NPT secretary Shahid Rasheed.–Staff Reporter
