IT professionals to get scholarships: minister
KARACHI, May 30 2006: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information Technology, Environment and Alternate Energy Noman Saigal on May 29 said that the government was taking steps to award special scholarship to IT professionals and students to send them abroad to grill their talent. He was talking to a delegation of Microsoft Pakistan led by its chief Jawad-ur-Rahman here at his office.
The delegation informed the adviser that Microsoft was not only interested in investment in different fields of IT, especially in Sindh, but had also invited international firms for the same purpose. They said that Microsoft would award special scholarships to IT professionals of Karachi and interior Sindh and send them abroad to improve their talent with the help of Sindh IT Department.
