Islam protects minorities’ rights
FAISALABAD: Islam provides a role model and ideal rules to ensure the rights of minorities that needs to be implemented in letter and spirits with the promoting of interfaith harmony in the society.
This was stated by GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Zakir Hussian while addressing a function arranged by CSC in connection with the Christmas.
Addressing on the occasion, the VC stressed the need for following interfaith harmony in the society to iron out differences. He said that Islam teaches all Muslims to believe in all the prophets sent by Allah Almighty for the welfare of humanity. Father Iftikhar Moon, Begum Pervez Rafique, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi, Dr Ifithar Hussain, Dr Farhat Abbas, Aftab Chattaha, Zahoor Calvin, Khuram Shahzad, and Afzal Akram also present on the occasion.
