Iran Revolution depicted in books, paintings

LAHORE: The Khana-e-Farhang Iran organized an exhibition of paintings, calligraphy and books in connection with 33rd celebrations of Iranian Revolution here at Alhamara Art Gallery on Tuesday.

The exhibition included the paintings and photography highlighting the life and works of Ayatollah Khomeini and other leading Iranian political leaders of the 1970s. The paintings also reflect development of Iran in various fields. The festival featured a number of art and craft pieces, decoration pieces, mosaic work, calligraphic works, various texts of Holy Quran and a wide range of books on different topics.

CDs of Qiraat, Naat, Islamic calligraphic and miniature paintings were also displayed on the occasion. While talking on the occasion, the visitors said that the exhibition was an attempt to revive the historic revolution brought by the people of Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini. Khana-e-Farhang Director Dr Abbas Famori and Deputy Iranian Council General Bani Asadi and a large number of people from all walks of life visited the exhibition.
