Initial assessment for 3G/4G licences completed
ISLAMABAD: Consultants hired for the auction of 3G/4G licences have completed an assessment of the market and held a series of meetings with various stakeholders – contributing to the development of the Information Memorandum (IM), which is to be submitted to the government.
According to PTA’s announcement made here on Wednesday, IM is a key document being prepared for the prospective bidders of the spectrum. “It would reflect upon the available spectrum to be auctioned, number of licenses, base/reserve price and method for the auction,” said the announcement.
On December 19, 2013 Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) signed a formal contract with Value Partners Management Consulting Limited (VPMCL) for the provision of consultancy services for the auction of spectrum for next generation mobile services.
