Incomprehensible censor board

Sir: The Indian film Delhi Belly, an Amir Khan production starring Imran Khan, was released all over the world. This film was also played in the most famous cinemas of Pakistan.

However, it had a highly licentious script. Last year, in July, another Indian film Tere Bin Laden, starring Pakistani pop singer Ali Zafar, was released worldwide but not in Pakistan. The film was banned by the censor board, which claimed that inappropriate language was used in it.

Actor Ali Zafar struggled hard to get permission for his film to be screened in Pakistan, but to no avail. While the film did have some unsuitable speech, it was nothing more than that used in Delhi Belly.

In my opinion, it was not a fair decision to play Delhi Belly but not Tere Bin Laden. I hope such unjustified decisions by the censor board do not take place in the future.
