Husband threatens wife

Karachi:A resident of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) registered a case at the Boat Basin police station against the in-laws of his daughter for hurling threats.

Dilawer Abbas Lakhani a resident of Block-8, Clifton stated that his daughter, Hina, got married to Murtaza Abbas some months back but due to some differences she left her husband and began residing with her parents.

Lakhani said that Hina told him that Murtaza called her over to Hotel Marriott where he threatened her and tried to forcibly take her away in the car but on resistance she succeeded and came back to her father’s house. Later, he along with his daughter went to the police station to register a complaint. On return they saw Murtaza lurking around their residence. Murtaza fired two rounds one of which hit the car. The incident took place near Park Towers, Block-5, Clifton, and they again came to the police station for legal action and protection.
