‘Honour’ killing: Youth cuts sister’s jugular vein
LAHORE: Nursing a grudge against his sister over her alleged elopement, a youth slew the 20-year-old girl at Shahdara’s Farrukhabad locality on Sunday.
Shahdara SHO Maqsood Ahmad said the girl, who hailed from Ferozewala, was going to his uncle’s place along with her mother, Sugran Bibi, when her brother overpowered her near the Shahdara social security hospital and cut her jugular vein.
The girl died instantly while the suspect fled the scene. The SHO said the girlÂ’s brother, Bilal was annoyed with her over her elopement with a neighbour three months ago.
The police registered a case but could not arrest Bilal till last reports came in.
