Handmade wreaths displayed at exhibition
ISLAMABAD: A colourful art exhibition, Gran Monarca, was held here at a local hotel, joined by a good number of art lovers from the twin cities.
Mahjabeen Akhtar, an environmentalist by profession, and Shozab Shafiq, an engineer, organised the exhibition where around 200 handmade wreaths were displayed. An artistic blending of artificial flowers, jute ropes and ribbons gave the onlookers a giving a very mixed and colorful affect.
The visitors took keen interests in daily-use décor items crafted very skillfully and in a stylish way besides being available at a very reasonable price. Exhibition also caught attention of some foreigners who were seen purchasing some handmade wreaths.
Mahjabeen, who looked very excited from the overall response, said, “It’s like a dream come true. I am amazed to see that some invitees have shown interest in displaying our collection for the coming summer season.”
Some wreaths were covered with small lights, giving festival-like touch to the whole event.
