Guard, employee of private TV channel shot
KARACHI: A security guard and an employee of a private TV channel were injured on Monday after unidentified men opened fire outside the channel’s office situated at Guru Mandir. Tension prevailed in the area while a heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene. “Nothing can be said about the nature of incident at this instance as we have some reports that say the criminals wanted to steal or snatch a motorbike”, said DSP Qaiser Ali Shah. He said that the security guard, Naseeb Khan, 28, and an employee, Jawad, 24 had received bullets. Jawad’s condition was critical while police recovered around 14 empty bullet shells from the scene. The injured were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
